Growing to Serve

Growing to Serve: How You Can Support the Future of Our Church

What It Is:
Growing to Serve - It’s a fitting focus for our stewardship campaign.  It’s not just a fancy slogan for our program. It describes how God has been blessing our church in its faithfulness.  As a church, we recognize that we are the light of the world, called by God to serve others in our community and make disciples of Jesus Christ.  As a result, we’ve grown as a church.  We now have three Sabbath services, two campuses and an expanding number of ministries that seek to fulfill our mission.  And we praise God for all of it- giving Him the glory!

How We Got to This Point:
More than six decades ago, a small group of mission-minded believers gathered together and prayed that God might use them in a mighty way by planting a new church in Beltsville, Maryland.  They chose to be faithful in sharing the Good News of Jesus and His love with the community. They understood it was going to be challenging and require much of them but the mission was worth it. Over the years, thousands in our community have seen the love of Jesus demonstrated in a practical way, and that small, faithful  group has now grown to nearly 1,000 members.

What Growing to Serve Will Accomplish:
For more than two years the church has very carefully and intentionally been identifying aspects of the Ammendale campus facility that must be repaired or updated and possible locations for another future, third campus.  In order for us to be more effective in our mission, we need to plan for and address these items.
