About the Course

Hello! My name is Donna Cameron, facilitator of the WEAR YOUR FAITH Connect Group. Throughout my years as an educator, I also found myself naturally noticing how people present themselves—especially what they wear. Over time, I came to understand that our early experiences and messages about appearance often shape our ideas about worth, belonging, modesty, and confidence. For many of us, these messages quietly become part of our spiritual identity.

As my faith deepened, so did my personal style. I began dressing like someone who finally believed what I had heard all my life—that God truly loves me, flaws and all. I found myself wanting to shine and quietly reflect that love, value, forgiveness, and freedom from shame—sometimes without saying a word. Today, I look for opportunities to encourage others with the same good news: we are loved, valued, and forgiven, and we are invited to shine.  That is how WEAR YOUR FAITH was born.

This Connect Group provides a welcoming space to:

• Notice the faith and identity journeys of selected Bible characters• Reflect on how God feels about all His children and gently examine beliefs that may keep us from living as “fully loved”• Experiment with low-risk, everyday options for shining a little brighter• Consider what it might look like to Wear Your Faith going forward

Group activities may include praying together, guided discussion, storytelling and reflection, two field trips, and simple experiments in expressing faith and confidence in daily life.

In the WEAR YOUR FAITH Connect Group, relationships will feel like sitting around a trusted table—marked by safety, mutual respect, gentle honesty, and shared curiosity. No one is rushed, fixed, or managed, and participants often leave feeling lighter, more hopeful, and more accepting of themselves.

Passionate about fulfilling my life’s purpose, I love creating spaces where people can share life, grow in faith, and encourage one another through both highs and lows. God has used many seasons of my life—teaching medical students, facilitating small groups, listening to stories, and making music—to shape my love for meaningful conversation and community.

In this season, I’m especially drawn to exploring how faith shows up in everyday life—not just in what we believe, but in how we live, relate, and show up in the world. I find joy in discovering hidden beauty and second chances, whether in people, stories, or even closets. My hope is that this Connect Group will be a welcoming place where we grow together, listen well, and learn how to live our faith with authenticity and joy.
