Henry Wright

Pastor Henry Wright joined the Beltsville Church as our interim Lead Pastor in January 2023.


Pastor Wright has served as a Minister, Professor, Church Administrator, Family Counselor, and

Radio and TV host. Elder Henry Monroe Wright began his ministerial career in 1964. He has a

Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Oakwood College, a Master of Systematic Theology from

Andrews University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Ohio-based Methodist Theological

Seminary and has done D.Min studies in church administration at Vanderbilt University.

His ministerial assignments have taken him to Louisville, KY; Greenville, and Jackson, MI;

Columbus, OH; Alexandria, VA; and Takoma Park, MD. During his almost 54 years of ministry,

he has received more than fifty awards and recognition for pastoral leadership, preaching, and

evangelism.


His professor's years were at Oakwood University from 1978-1983. Since1995 he has been an

adjunct professor in Homiletics at Washington Adventist University.


Administratively, he has served as President of Allegheny West Conference of SDA, as

Executive Secretary of the Columbia Union Conference of SDA, and as director of Education for

Home Health, Inc.
